Health Occupations Educators Association of Florida (HOEAF)
Hello, Health Science/Career Health Educator:
I would like to introduce myself. I am Marilyn Goodman, President of Health Occupations Educators Association of Florida (HOEAF). If you teach Health Science/Career Health Education, HOEAF is your professional organization. HOEAF works closely with the Department of Education and falls under the umbrella of the Florida Association for Career and Technical Educators (FACTE). FACTE is our voice in Tallahassee. They not only ensure that our programs remain in our public school systems but supply leadership development, promote networking and provide technical updating among its members. In addition, HOEAF has a conference in the summer where teachers come together to meet and receive educational information that they can use in their classrooms, share best practices and obtain new ideas to enhance their learning, as well as that of their students. Just as we encourage our students to join Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), I would like to encourage you to join HOEAF.
