Florida Health Occupations Educators of Florida (HOEAF). Florida HOSA and HOEAF have a partnership that is beneficial to both organizations. While Florida HOSA is designed to meet the needs of its student members, HOEAF is an organization specifically for Health Science Educators. A division of the Florida Association of Career and Technical Education (FACTE), HOEAF provides advocacy for Health Science Education in the State of Florida. Science instructors m Annual Conference Each year, HOEAF presents two days of break out sessions at the FACTE Conference. Session topics range from DOE updates to classroom management, and continuing education credits are provided. This year, the FACTE Conference will be held in Orlando, Florida, August 4 - 6. The Florida HOSA Foundation, Inc. is a scholarship foundation which provides several scholarships each year to qualifying applicants who are members of HOSA. The Florida HOSA Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees made up of Florida HOSA teachers, students, health care industry representatives, and Department of Education representatives. The Foundation is endorsed by DOE, but managed by the trustees who donate their time and services.
