For 24 Hours, I Would Love to Trade Places With: Novak Djokovic

If I had a Million Dollars, I would: Save $650,000 for my college and student expenses, donate $310,000 to APTAUSA in order to help fund the education of impoverished kids with merit in India, and donate the remaining $40,000 to my school’s HOSA/Bio-medical program.

My Most Embarrassing Moment: When I was 12 I jumped into a pool with a loose swimsuit at a party.  After resurfacing, I realized that my swimsuit had slipped off.

Greatest Personal Accomplishment: Starting and coaching a dance team for kids 14-18 years of age who perform at cultural events, competitions, and public events.  All fees and money that is collected, I donate to supporting the education of poor children in India through APTAUSA

Future Discovery Anticipated Most: The cure for various genetic disorders (Cystic Fibrosis, Sickle Cell, and Muscular Dystrophy) with the use of CRISPR/Cas9 as a gene editing mechanism.

Career Goals: My career goal is to become a renowned doctor and to work towards creating an innovation in medicine during my career.  Afterward, I want to dedicate my life to public health by serving the global movement Doctors Without Borders and to be appointed as the U.S. Surgeon General.  I want to spend time fulfilling my passion for medicine and dedicate the rest of my life to public service within underdeveloped nations.

Favorite Quote: “Practice like you never won.  Perform like you’ve never lost.” – Bernard F. Asuncion

I Love HOSA Because: It provides me with an opportunity to explore my interest in the medical fields through a competitive medium while promoting global health and service.  The competitions are unique and career-oriented to prepare members for their future from an early age.
