GUARDIAN CHAPTERS
Florida HOSA Chapters can earn the unique distinction of becoming a “Guardian Chapter” – guarding Florida HOSA’s commitment to our core values of Learning, Leadership, Service, and Innovation by valiantly striving to make sure that our organization continues into the future shining brighter than ever before! The “Guardian Chapter” designation will be granted in the 2023 – 2024 academic year as follows:
1. A chapter that affiliated in 2022 – 2023 must meet or exceed their chapter membership number from the 2022/23 academic year before February 1st and include an affiliated Chapter Advisor.
2. An existing chapter that did not affiliate in 2022 – 2023 must meet or exceed their chapter membership number from their most recent year of affiliation before February 1st and include an affiliated Chapter Advisor.
3. A brand-new chapter in the 2023 – 2024 academic year must affiliate at least five (5) members before February 1st, plus the Chapter Advisor, to be a designated Guardian Chapter.
Please contact the Florida HOSA State Office if you do not know your school’s previous membership total.
Florida HOSA will recognize these exceptional chapters by posting their school name to this Guardian Chapter Page after October 15th and January 1st. In addition, during the General Sessions at SLC, they will be highlighted on the large screens and distinguished in the SLC Program.
Also, members of a designated Guardian Chapter can purchase a striking, high polished copper-plated lapel pin for $1.50 each (plus postage) through their advisor to commemorate their championing for Florida HOSA.
Ordered Guardian Chapter Pins will be mailed out after the affiliation dates of October 15th and January 1st.
